Asked by: Chris Terry

A: Hi Chris, If you order the trigger, bolt, bolt handle, and magazine with this barreled action than a chassis, scope and rings will finish you out. -Good shooting! "Love your KIDD"

Q:What kind of accuracy can I expect from the slip in barrel verses the supermarket? I'm not sure what direction to go in
Asked by: Matt
- 6/13/2025
A: Hi Matt, Our classic barrels can produce the same accuracy as our supergrade barrels. The supergrade advantage comes from the ease of switching barrels- it's dreamy easy. -Good shooting! MKidd

Q:Just to avoid any mistakes; this is a fully functional unit (all pins, springs, firing pin) ready to add my trigger group and drop into a stock, correct? Thanks, Stefan
Asked by: Stefan
- 5/31/2024
A: Hi Stephen, Our barreled action comes standard with a scope base, receiver pins, bolt buffer, v-block, and take down screw. If you only intend to add your trigger group to this barreled action, you will need to purchase 2 more items. The bolt and bolt handle assembly option in the drop down menus. -Good shooting!

Q:Hi , I am getting ready to order my 3rd rifle from you, this one is going to be a classic slip-fit all black but I don't see a black 20 inch threaded match barrel in the options. Would you please direct me to correct selection as I would like to order a "black" threaded match barrel . Best Regards,
Asked by: Yaman Turan
- 5/8/2024
A: Hi Yaman, Thank you for your question. We have reorganized the barrels on this product with category headers. This should make it easier to find the barrel that you need. Heavy black bull barrels are the 4th category. -Good shooting!

Q:What is the 556 and 762 barrel difference? When on the barreled reciever slip fit page 16.5 inch selection is limited to ultra light barrels only.
Thanks. Darren Bender P.S. I love your Kidd trigger my wife got me for my birthday!
Asked by: DARREN E BENDER
- 10/9/2022
A: The only difference between the two different styles is the designs on the barrel. The 762 has a " z" shaped fluted throughout the barrel and the 556 has a mixture of the "z" flute and the straight flute throughout the barrel.
We offer the 16.5 inch barrel in all of our barrel styles.

Q:Is there a particular ammo suggestion?
Asked by: Douglas E.
- 10/6/2022
A: Thank you for contacting us with your questions regarding ammo. We use Eley Tenex ammo in house. We have good luck and hear great feedback from customers when using CCI, Wolf, Federal, and SK ammo. It is recommended to try a couple to see which works best for you and your set up. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Good Shooting-Shalee

Q:Does KIDD receiver have the rear hole for breach-to-muzzle cleaning? And if a rear tang attachment was added, does that it (the rear tang) will need to be unscrewed in order to do cleaning through the rear hole?
Asked by: Wu Li
- 4/16/2016
A: Yes, our receivers come with the rear cleaning hole. If the rear tang is attached the cleaning hole is covered. So the rear tang would need to be removed in order to use the rear cleaning hole. Good shooting! KIDD

Q:Do you advise using for your KIDD barreled action synthetic/composite stock instead of wood or laminates? And the stock has to be channeled for .0920, yes?
Asked by: Wu Li
- 4/8/2016
A: We personally own both, and recommend both. But yes, the stock needs to be a bull barrel channel. Good shooting! KIDD

Q:If I get the barreled action, will it need to be pillar bedded and free-floated when it gets fitted into a stock?
Asked by: Wu Li
- 4/7/2016
A: We do recommend that the barrel is free floated for accuracy purposes but pillar bedding is not a need but should be considered as an additional option. Good shooting! KIDD

Q:Okay, so the barreled action comes with barrel, receiver, v-block, takedown screw, receiver pins, and bolt buffer.
What else do I need to purchase, besides the stock, in order to make it into a COMPLETE Kidd rifle? KIDD Charging assembly? KIDD Auto-bolt release? KIDD Extractor? KIDD anything else?
By the way, I will be sending the whole package to an expert gunsmith to put it all together for me, because I know next to nothing about gun mechanics. All I do is shoot and have fun, and admire beautiful guns. You know, just like how many of us can drive cars, and love good-looking and fast cars, but know next to nothing about how their innards are put together and how they really work.
Asked by: Wu Li
- 4/7/2016
A: Thank you for your interest in our barreled action. Regarding your question, for additional parts, if the bolt, trigger, and cocking assembly are added to the action then the remaining parts needed are; a stock, magazine, scope rings, and scope. This action will ship to an FFL. Good shooting! KIDD

Q:How hard is it to drop in your custom BARRELED ACTION into a stock? Mine will either be a Hogue Youth, or a laminated stock from Revolution (both channeled for .920 barrels). I'm asking because I've no mechanical talent and only basic tools at home (crescent wrench, hammer, etc.). Should I take the job to a gun smith or some friend who is mechanically astute and familiar with gun assembly? Do you have downloadable instructions?
Asked by: Wu Li
- 4/4/2016
A: I do have some mechanical ability, though compared to Tony, my abilities are extremely limited. I have assembled many barreled actions into stocks and have always been successful. The only tool needed is a screwdriver. After making it safe and before installing the barreled action center up the safety because if it is not centered it will catch on one side of the stock. Lead with the back end of the barreled action then guide the front end into the stock. (Note: don't hold the safety while installing the barreled action, for some reason customers and myself hold here and can spin the safety very easily when it is centered). Tighten the take down screws once the barreled action is seated and done. If this seems over your abilities then a gunsmith is always a good option. Good shooting! KIDD
