Are the add on receiver pins that you can order with the receiver the screw in/countersunk type?
A: Yes, the pins for $21.99 have the screws in either end. The KIDD receiver is countersunk to receive these pins with the screws. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: If i buy barrel and receiver will you fit it together?
A: If you purchase a barrel, receiver, and v-block we will put it together for you. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Can this receiver b used to build a charger pistol?
A: As of 2016, our receivers are shipped as receivers to your local FFL. So, if the receiver is logged in at the manufacturer (which is us) as a receiver then then the customer is allowed to designate if it is a rifle or pistol. But if it is designated as a rifle then formal paperwork must be filled out to modify it into a pistol. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: You have a black and a silver receiver. Is the silver one stainless steel?
Also, will a ruger BX trigger fit in your receivers?
A: The black and silver are both anodized aluminum. The factory trigger tends to be a bit wide for our receiver, so we recommend our trigger (of course). Good shooting! KIDD
Q: YOu don't make these receivers for the Takedown model, do you?
A: No, we don't. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Can I buy your receiver without the rail? I prefer the one piece base and ring system. Thank you,
A: Hi Eddie, Thank you for your interest in our receiver, but the rail is sold with this receiver without additional cost. So wether you use it or not the price is the same. But we must note, that our base is machined specifically for this receiver and your one piece base and ring system won't mate with our receiver due to the enhanced structure that we have set up with the top groove of our receiver and the bottom ridge of our base. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Is the rail designed for picatinny or weaver type scope rings?
A: Our base is a picatinny style. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: I am thinking of buying a Kidd receiver and all the internal parts that make up the whole group along with a barrel. Buying this many parts 1 by 1 would be very expensive. Can you put together this whole group at a package deal?
A: Thank you for your interest in more KIDD products. We have a product that fits your request #18-2. It is our barreled action. With this you can create your custom KIDD barreled action and we will build it. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: The site says expect 2 week delay. Does this mean you are out of stock? I tried to order, but it will not add to cart.
A: Hi Rick, The 2 week delay on this product is not due to being out of stock, but it is a reflection of the increased paperwork that must be completed before a receiver is shipped. I'm not sure why you were having trouble ordering it, but if you give us a call at 830-557-5433 we would be glad to assist. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Is this fully assembled? Ready to drop in?
A: Hi Matt, This receiver is complete and ready to be installed. We have some drop down options on this product that will make it a fully accessorized receiver, such as the takedown screw, receiver pins, buffer, v-block, and more. But if purchased at the initial price, the accessories will need to be added during the build process. We give customers the option of purchasing these accessories or not, because of the many differing stages that "builds" are in when a receiver is needed. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: In the options section, I see an option for a 2nd base (10 MOA and 20 MOA). I just want to confirm that a scope rail base does come default without having to add the 10 MOA or 20 MOA option. Is this correct?
A: Hi Jeff, Thank you for your interest. Yes, a zero MOA scope base comes with the receiver without any additional cost. If you would like to be able to change the MOA degree then an additional base can be purchased. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: So I just got a new stock and barrel for my 10/22 and I was wondering exactly what I need to order to be able to make a another functioning 10/22. Receiver, trigger system, and bolt system, then what else? I basically just want to totally customize one of my guns and just put all the stock gizmos back together and give that gun to my dad.
A: Hi Mike, If you order this product with the v-block, buffer, and receiver pins combined with our trigger assembly, cocking assembly, bolt, and some extra magazines you will be set. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: I have tried searching but can't find an answer. Do you know if the rear tang fits the Magpul X22 out of the box or does the stock require additional fitting?
A: With the rear tang attached to our receiver the stock would need to be inletted. But without the rear tang attached our receiver would drop in without fitting. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Do you sell a 10/22 takedown receiver?
A: No, we don't. Thank you for your interest in our products. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: will the rear tang option on the TITAN STOCK BY VICTOR COMPANY fit the receiver if do not order with rear tang with theis receiver?
A: Hi John, Thank you for your interest in our receiver. We have build a rifle on the Titan stock with and without the use of our rear tang. So it will work either way. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: About the attachable rear tang option -- your site says that additional custom work on the stock is needed. WHO is going to do that, the customer (or customer's gunsmith) or KIDD? If Kidd, do we send the stock to you then? If customer, how will I know I'll be doing the additional inletting correctly??
A: Thank you for your interest. We don't do this work on individual's stocks. If you are unsure about your abilities with this task then I would recommend taking it to a professional to have it done. Good shooting! KIDD

Q: Does this come in a left handed version?
A: Hi Scott, Thank you for your interest in our receiver, but we don't offer a left handed version. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Do your receivers come with the magazine latch plunger?
A: Thank you for your interest, but our receiver doesn't come with the magazine release plunger. We do sell the magazine latch plunger individually so it can be purchased by itself or as an additional item with a receiver purchase. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: What if any type paperwork or background check is required to purchase a receiver From your company?
A: There is no additional paperwork for purchasing, but we must ship our receiver to an FFL. At the FFL, the customer is required to fill out the federal 4473 and any local paperwork that is required. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Do I have to use the Kidd receiver pins?
A: Hi Jon, No you are not required to use KIDD receiver pins with our receiver, but of course we recommend them. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF THE V BLOCK?
A: There is always an advantage to a well made part, but I wouldn't describe the v-block as having an advantage, it is just a necessary piece in the assembly process. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Is the included rail picatinny or weaver?
will the stock ruger pins work in the receiver?
A: Hi Dee, Thank you for your interest. Our rail is picatinny and stock pins will work with our receiver. Good shooting! KIDD
Q: Let's say i purchased a Kidd receiver only for a future build. Could I send it back to you to be outfitted with slip fit options...then have it sent back to me directly without going through an FFL twice?
A: Hi Michael, Thank you for your interest. That is possible. Once the receiver is registered to you, it can be shipped to an FFL for work and then sent directly to you without having to go back through your local FFL for registration. Though, we would only install KIDD parts on your future build. Good shooting! KIDD

A: Hi Jim,
