Q: What is your most accurate barrel for a 10/22 ? What length do you recommend ? I was thinking about the fluted but is the bull match better ? Thank you, Chris

Asked by: chris - 6/16/2016
A: Hi Chris, The additional weight and the harmonics of the 20" bull barrel give it an advantage to potentially out shoot the rest. For ultimate accuracy we don't recommend muzzle threading or fluting because it adds variables that don’t specifically enhance the accuracy. But both features are super cool and can be very accurate. Fluting on larger caliber barrels assist in cooling and allow for more shooting. But on a .22 with a SS barrel cooling is not really a factor. These are generalities and we are not saying that it isn’t possible for an ultra light weight barrel to out shoot a heavy barrel, but generally speaking that will not be the case. Good shooting! KIDD

Q: Two questions 1.most bull barrels I see are .920 inches in diameter and this barrel is .870 inches. Is this the diameter for the entire length of the barrel? Will this fit as well as a .920 in the magpul x22 stock, or will it have a void because it's smaller? 2.Could you please explain the finish on the "silver" barrel? Is it brushed bare metal, or a silver coating? Also is the barrel made of stainless, or is just the breach stainless. Thank you for your time. Looking forward to this purchase.

Asked by: Travis - 3/24/2016
A: We now offer a rifle build #126-2 with a Magpull stock and our light weight barrel. There is such a small difference between .920" & .870" in a barrel channel that it not a noticeable difference.
The entire barrel is made of one stainless steel barrel blank from breach to muzzle with a clear anodized aluminum tube fitted over the top. There is a small portion of the stainless steel barrel that is visible and this is unfinished stainless steel. Good shooting! KIDD
