Q: Does this rear tang, paired with the KIDD reciever work with the KRG bravo Stock without exta modifications? KRG says they have a specific screw for the rear tang and mounting point (to use in place of the KIDD scew)? Can both these questions be addressed? Thanks!

Asked by: Levi - 11/9/2024
A: Hi Levi,
Yes, our receiver with the rear tang can be used with this stock without extra modification. And yes, there is a specific mounting screw you can get from KRG or if you order the rear tang from us and tell us that you will be installing into this stock we will send you the needed screw. -Good shooting!

There is already a threaded hole in the chassis. No need for the escutcheon in our chassis.

Q: I ordered your barrel/receiver combination along with a rear tang, and specified my stock. Over the weekend I machined the stock to fit the rear tang. The tang doesn't fit well into the stock and is recessed about 1/8". Do you offer a rear tang that has a slope that matches the slope coming off the top of the receiver? This will end up being slightly above the stock, but I am OK with that. Thank You

Asked by: Blayne - 3/4/2024
A: Hi Blayne,
We offer 4 different tapers to our rear tang. Please give us a call at 830-557-5433 to get a different rear tang.
-Good shooting!

Q: 1. Must you remove the rear tang to clean the gun from the breach? Not a deal killer, just curious. 2. Will this work on a Boyd's Evolution stock? On the Evolution stock, there is a screw that appears to penetrate into the pistol grip, perhaps for reinforcement. It looks like it would interfere with machining out the hole for the escutcheon.

Asked by: Tom - 1/3/2016
A: Hi Tom, In order to clean the breech with a rod the rear tang would need to be removed. I own a rifle with our rear tang installed on a Boyd's Evo, and the screw was not an issue. But as I recall it was close and mine was build a good 5 years ago. Good shooting! KIDD
