V-Block for the 10/22® receiver
Slightly longer for increased stability
More support for the screws
KIDD Innovative Design has produced a machined from billet aluminum v-block with installation screws ready to hold your slip fit barrel securely onto your 10/22® receiver. Slightly longer than the factory v-block to give an increased bedding surface. Also our v-block has more support for the v-block screws for increased stability in your rifle.
At times customers ask why we don't offer an adjustment screw. To answer that question, we feel it is important that the barrel fit properly without disturbing the harmonics with such an adjustment. This adjustment will likely negatively impact the accuracy of the barrel.
Not compatible with the following barrel makers due to their smaller than factory v-block slot in their barrel:
Green Mountain 10/22® barrels
Adams and Bennett 10/22® barrels
Packaging includes:
v-block with two mounting screws

Get this also for your Kidd gun
I really questioned if I would need this with the Kidd receiver I bought. I had the money so when I got my Kidd barrel I also got this. Yes it was worth the expense much better quality than the factory Ruger V-block I was thinking of using. The Kidd 10/22 I completed is the best 22 long rifle I have every shot. Every one who love's to shot 22's the way I do should own at least one.

This block works as advertised. No noticed barrel droop everyone keeps talking about. The new barrel hit the same as the factory barrel. The fit of the barrel in the receiver was fairly snug. If the fit was loose, then that could be an issue. All the kidd products I have purchased including this v-block are tool and die quality. Good to know there are craftsman left in this push button world we live in. Thanks Kidd!

Sir, will this work on the takedown variation of the 10/22? Thank you and I love all of your products and as a retired USSF soldier I appreciate the detail you put into your products ~ 2d to none.

A:
That variation doesn't require a v-block. Good shooting! KIDD

Q:
I have 3 Kidd rifles, 2 have the classic slip barreled actions. What torque do you recommend on the 2 Allen screws that hold the barrel in place. Also, do you recommend anything to put on the screws to hold the torque?
Asked by:
John
- 2/5/2017
A:
The screws should be torqued to about 10 in pounds. Good Shooting-Shalee

Q:
When tightening the V-block do you recommend anti-seize on the v-block bolts??
Asked by:
Skip Green

A:
We do not apply anti-seize to our bolts during installation, but it will not hurt them if you chose to do so.

Q:
I am building my first 10/22 and I am going straight for gold. 100% Kidd. On this V Block is it one that is tapered that will make contact with the barrel to prevent barrel droop?
Asked by:
alamo5000
- 8/6/2016
A:
We don't recommend fixing barrel droop with a v-block, but rather preventing it with a proper fitting barrel and receiver. Good shooting! KIDD
