The KIDD Trigger, shoot with it or against it...

Our trigger is the best aftermarket 10/22® trigger on the market. Whether you shoot Smallbore Silhouette, the Sportsman's Team Challenge or just hate Crows and Groundhogs this is the trigger you have been looking for. What makes it the best you ask? Tony Kidd's patented two stage design. It offers the incredibly clean and consistent let off expected in a target trigger while maintaining the total reliability and safety required of a field trigger. The pull weight can be infinitely distributed between the two stages offering a pull as light as 6 ounces (3 ounces on the first stage and 3 ounces on the second stage) or as heavy as 2.5 pounds. We will gladly distribute the trigger weight to your individual needs.

Our trigger guard is CNC machined from 6061 T6 billet aluminum and each assembly. The hammer, sear, transfer bar and other internal tool steel parts are CNC machined and cut by a wire EDM. All springs are manufactured by a .22 aficionado and KIDD customer Murphy & Read Springs. We assemble each trigger in the KIDD shop employing the strictest quality control knowing our reputation rides on every trigger.

Talk about INNOVATIVE! Have you noticed the interchangeable magazine release levers for our trigger assemblies? You can now purchase one of three styles or all three. The Sportsman or the flat lever is the best lever for all you hunters. The Extended (medium) is a great universal magazine lever and our most popular. Then the Speed (long) lever that wraps around the bottom of the trigger guard is for all you target shooters who are racing the clock.

We offer black and silver anodized trigger bodies/guards both supplied with our signature red trigger (or as a customer from San Antonio, Texas referred to it "the salsa trigger"). Both black and silver trigger bodies have a matte glare free finish. We have offered a straight trigger shoe option in our trigger housing for years, but the concept is still new to most customers. The straight trigger replaced the standard curved trigger nicely and feels particularly good with a pistol grip or thumbhole style stock. We recommend that if you use a sporter style stock that you stick with the standard curved trigger. Our curved and straight trigger shoes are available in both red and black powder coating. The two-stage trigger also comes with an auto bolt release already installed.

What the heck is a two stage trigger? The two stage trigger offers a unique geometry which allows a very clean, light and repeatable break. This is accomplished by distributing the trigger pull weight into two distinct segments. The first segment or stage is an initial take up which leads to the second stage. As you pull the trigger rearward taking up the first stage weight, you will feel a stop. This is the second stage. At this point the hammer and sear are engaged by .001" and any further rearward movement of the trigger will release the hammer firing the shot. The advantage to this system, which is used on all European competition autoloaders, is the ability to not only have very consistent trigger breaks but to also allow light and reliable trigger breaks. In an autoloading rifle this can only be accomplished with a two stage trigger. When cocked, the two stage has approximately .040" hammer and sear engagement, almost 10 times that of the factory trigger. Only KIDD offers a 10/22® trigger assembly which incorporates precise let off, complete reliability and total safety.

We offer two hammer spring options, standard and magnum. The magnum spring can be purchased for an extra $4.00 during check out and should be used with the .22 magnum and 17HMR.

Exceptions to the drop-in rule:

Our two stage trigger drops into nearly all 10/22® models with minimal exception.  If this trigger is going in a SR-22® please let us know so that we may remove a small amount of material from the rear tang. With our recently updated look, we have slimmed down the rear of the trigger guard so that it now fits without modification into the pistol grip style stocks that engulf the rear of the trigger guard giving the rifle that handgun appearance around the trigger area.

All KIDD triggers require a signature upon delivery.

Perfection
I first bought the singles stage trigger for my first 22 build and loved it. But I decided to build another match grade .22 and decided to go with the 2 stage because of the lighter trigger pull. I had Kidd set the trigger to the lightest pull possible the 6oz/6oz. Holy cow was my first impression. It really took some finger sensitivity exercises to have such a light trigger pull. I did have some accidental fires from such a soft trigger but after a little practice OMG what a fantastic trigger. With such a sensitive trigger your shot placement is fantastic. When your setting up your shot, pull the first stage back until you hit the wall of the second stage, then when your absolute dead on your target anymore movement on the trigger and your there. Perfection. Your barrel does not move even a width of a hair. I used to think I was a pretty good shot until I installed this trigger. Now I can say in not too bad. I can literally shoot the wings off of flys. I’ve done it. This trigger and the 20 inch stainless steel barrel you can’t miss what your aiming at. I’ve bought and sold most triggers and trigger jobs out there and if your looking for a top notch 10/22 trigger this is your best and last place to look. I hope this will help convince some of you skeptics to give Kidd a try, I’m so glad I did years ago. Kidd does top notch produces and very clean machining on all there items. Givem a try, you will thank me.

Mr.
I replaced the trigger set coming with my 22 Lite with KIDD two stage, it hasn't failed me. I set it up to give short take up before hitting wall and then come a surprise super crisp break. Love it!

Precision Shooter
I have had a KIDD match barrel for the last 4 years, the best barrel you will ever find. I have been using a competitors trigger for over 10 years, this trigger blows it away. I have been thinking of getting this trigger for four years but could not past the price, it was $100 more than the trigger system I normally use, but I started having issues with a newly developed trigger system from the competitor, so I ordered this one. Should have done this 4 years ago, I am truly blown away, this is absolutely the best trigger for the serious 10/22 shooter in the world. I have tested 10/22 trigger packs from other manufactures and none come close to the KIDD 2 stage trigger system.

My encounter with the KIDD Two Stage Trigger Unit.
I ordered two of the two stage trigger units, one for my KIDD Supergrade rifle and one for a "Frankenrifle" I put together from high quality parts. I have KIDD triggers in ALL of my 10/22's. I had a couple of problems at first with the unit I installed in my Supergrade. I had ordered an 8oz/8oz trigger for this rifle, and I found that I had a tendency to pull right through the first setting. I simply could not feel the end of the first stage. This was not the fault of the trigger or of KIDD Innovations. The simple instructions for adjusting the pressure on the first setting provided the solution. I increased the pressure to the point that I could feel the "stop," and that solved the problem. I think I have it set for around 20 oz. for the first stage and the second stage is still 8 oz. This is a very comfortable setting for me. I really like this trigger!

Best Trigger Ever!
I knew a good trigger was important to shooting tight groups mainly because I'd shot a few guns with BAD triggers. My Kidd-equipped 10/22 is by far my favorite gun to shot and this trigger is amazing. It's a work of art to look at and well worth the money. I got a flat blade trigger for my pistol grip stock and really like it. FIVE STARS!

The Pinnacle
Absolutely the best trigger that can be had for a 10/22, period. My preference is the 2 stage trigger, they are pricy but as the saying goes "cry once " and never look back. I am totally spoiled by this trigger and have been shooting it for several years now and thousands of rounds. I recently shot another one of my 10/22's with a trigger rebuild kit that hadn't been shot in a long time and that is what prompted me to write this review because that really showed me how much better the Kidd is. At the time I installed the kit it made a huge improvement over the stock trigger. This is truly a "Jewell" for your 10/22.
