Magnum Hammer Spring for the KIDD Two Stage Trigger
The KIDD Magnum Spring for our Two Stage Trigger can be used in Magnum or Long Rifles if light firing pin hits are a problem. It is a 25% heavier hammer spring. (This spring is not designed to work with single stage geometry.)
Package includes:
spring
Q:
I have a new Kidd two stage trigger and the hammer spring seems overly strong now. (At least, stronger than I am used to) Is it possibly the magnum spring? It measures .263" OD. I ask because the pull back pressure on the bolt to chamber the .22LR is substantial. This new Super Grade project proved itself very well at the range yesterday!!! Thanks again, RP

A:
It is normal for the two stage trigger to be a little harder to cock by hand after first installing the unit in the rifle. This is because the hammer sits slightly higher in the trigger housing than in a single stage trigger. It will become easier to cock over time once the hammer has created a surface on the bolt to glide over. The trigger unit will not break so do not be afraid to pull back on the charging handle with a significant amount of pressure
