Avoiding barrel droop — our engineering
Droop is prevented by design: the extra-long tenon (1 7/8") plus the indexing flat, clamping V and clamping flat locate and clamp the barrel so it cannot tilt or shift. The indexing flat makes extractor timing repeatable; the clamping V and flat secure axial and rotational position with two 1/8" hex bolts, creating a rigid, repeatable interface that prevents droop without adhesives or heat-fitting.
Installation & break-in tips
• Quick swap: Loosen the two 1/8" hex bolts, withdraw the barrel, insert the replacement aligning the indexing flat, then snug the hex bolts evenly. • Torque: Snug the clamping bolts — firm, even snugness; avoid excessive torque. • Verify timing: Confirm extractor alignment visually after installation. • Break-in: Run two magazines through the barrel before evaluating groups; repeat when changing ammunition brands. • Cleaning: Keep the chamber clean and avoid over-scrubbing the bore — typical bore-clean interval ~500 rounds (varies by ammo). • Muzzle: Protective cap included for the 1/2"-28 thread; remove only when mounting a device.
