Upgrade your KIDD Supergrade pistol with a .920" stainless barrel
that makes fast, foolproof barrel changes reality — no vice, no fitting, no
droop.
What makes it special
- Quick-change design: Extra-long 1 7/8" barrel
extension with an indexing flat, clamping V, and clamping
flat lets you swap barrels at the range or in the garage with two
1/8" hex bolts — no vice, no gunsmithing.
- No-barrel-droop system: The three-part locking &
stabilizing system secures the barrel positively so alignment and
headspacing remain repeatable and eliminates barrel droop.
- Match-grade origins: Started from a Lothar Walther
blank and finished by Tony Kidd with a proprietary chamber reamer
for smooth feeding and consistent groups.
- Premium finish options: Choose polished or bead-blasted
stainless steel for a show-ready look that resists corrosion.
- Extractor & crown excellence: Precision convex extractor
slot for reliable extraction and an 11° crown + double ring at
the muzzle; KIDD marked.

Avoiding barrel droop — our
engineering
Barrel droop is solved by design: the extra-long tenon (1 7/8")
and the three-part locking system (indexing flat, clamping V, clamping flat)
mechanically locate and clamp the barrel so it cannot tilt or settle. The indexing
flat ensures perfect extractor timing; the clamping V + flat secure
axial and rotational position using two 1/8" hex bolts — producing a
repeatable, rigid interface that prevents droop without adhesive or
heat-fit tricks.
Installation & break-in tips
• Quick swap: Loosen the two 1/8" hex bolts, withdraw the
barrel, insert spare barrel aligning the indexing flat with the
receiver, then snug the hex bolts to seating torque.
• Torque: Tighten the clamping bolts snug — they should hold the
barrel firmly without distortion; if you track torque, aim for light, even
snugness rather than high torque.
• Headspace & timing: The indexing flat makes extractor timing
repeatable; verify extractor alignment visually after installation.
• Break-in: Run two magazines through the new barrel before
evaluating groups; repeat when changing ammo brands.
• Cleaning: Keep the chamber clean; avoid over-scrubbing the bore —
typical bore-clean interval: ~500 rounds, depending on ammo.
• Muzzle option: If fitted with the 1/2"-28 thread, use the
protective cap until you mount a device.
