Avoiding barrel droop — our engineering
Droop is prevented by design: the extra-long tenon (1 7/8") and three-part locking system (indexing flat, clamping V, clamping flat) locate and clamp the barrel so it cannot tilt or settle. The indexing flat ensures extractor timing is repeatable; the clamping V + flat secure axial and rotational position with two 1/8" hex bolts — producing a rigid, repeatable interface that prevents droop without heat-fit or adhesives.
Installation & break-in tips
• Quick swap: Loosen the two 1/8" hex bolts, remove the barrel, insert replacement aligning the indexing flat, then snug the hex bolts evenly. • Torque: Snug the clamping bolts — firm but not excessive; even snugness is preferred over high torque. • Verify timing: The indexing flat makes extractor timing repeatable; visually confirm extractor alignment after install. • Break-in: Run two magazines through the new barrel before evaluating groups; repeat when changing ammo brands. • Cleaning: Keep the chamber clean; avoid over-scrubbing the bore — typical bore-clean interval ~500 rounds, depending on ammo. • Muzzle option: If fitted with 1/2"-28 thread, keep the protective cap on until you mount a device.
