Inside the engineering — why this trigger dominates
Tony Kidd’s patented two-stage geometry sets the standard for precision autoloading triggers. By dividing the pull weight into two distinct stages, shooters get a predictable wall with a .001" engagement for the break—yet a massive .040" of total hammer/sear engagement when cocked for unmatched safety. This system delivers a crisp, competition-grade break with the reliability required for field use—something impossible to achieve in an autoloader with a single-stage design.
All major internal parts (hammer, sear, transfer bar) are machined in-house and cut via wire EDM for razor-sharp, perfectly consistent engagement surfaces. Springs are custom-built specifically for .22 LR performance by a longtime .22 aficionado.
The trigger guard is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, then anodized for a durable, non-build-up, glare-free finish.
KIDD’s interchangeable magazine release system lets you instantly swap between three release lever styles using a quick-change mortise/tenon interface. Hunters prefer the Sportsman (low-profile), most shooters choose the Extended, and speed competitors love the wrap-around Speed lever. Magnum spring option available for .22 WMR and 17 HMR.
