Upgrade your 10/22® with a fluted lightweight bull barrel that gives true
bull-barrel presence with match-grade accuracy and a featherlight feel.
What makes it special
- Bull look, trimmed mass: Starts as .920" for the
first 2" then steps to .870", giving the visual and
stiffness advantages of a bull barrel up front while trimming weight
toward the muzzle.
- Purpose-built lightness: Engineered to live between heavy
and ultra-light offerings — the 18" version ˜ 2.0 lb, the 16.5"
˜ 1 lb 14 oz — for easier carry without sacrificing rigidity.
- Stainless-core strength + sleeve
styling: A stainless-steel core construction provides dimensional
stability while a fluted silver sleeve gives the classic bull
appearance and added stiffness.
- Match-grade origins: Bored & rifled by Lothar
Walther (Germany), finished and hand-machined by Tony Kidd,
each barrel benefits from KIDD QC and a proprietary chamber reamer
for smooth feeding.
- Reliable extraction & crown: Precision convex extractor
slot for consistent extraction and an 11° crown + double ring
at the muzzle; KIDD marked.
- Accuracy guarantee: ½" at 50 yards
(5-shot group) — guaranteed.

Avoiding barrel droop — our
engineering
Barrel droop is eliminated through precise geometry and a resistance-fit
mortise-and-tenon. We hold the tenon diameter uniform along its
length and make the tenon slightly larger than the receiver mortise so
the barrel seats tightly and consistently. The shoulder between the .920"
contour and the tenon is machined as a clean step (not a ramp) so
the barrel sits flush against the receiver and is fully supported. When
properly seated, v-block screws only need to be snug (~10 in-lb) —
enough to prevent forward movement without distorting alignment.
Installation & break-in tips
• Inspect: Remove paint/debris from the receiver mortise before
install.
• Lubricate: Apply a light anti-seize compound to the tenon to
ease installation.
• Seat: Start the tenon into the mortise, align the extractor slot, then
gently tap the rear of the receiver with a rubber mallet to seat.
• Torque: Tighten v-block screws to ~10 in-lb (snug, not
crushing).
• Break-in: Run two magazines through the barrel before
evaluating groups; repeat after switching ammo.
• Cleaning: Keep the chamber clean but avoid excessive bore scrubbing —
typical bore-clean interval ~500 rounds (varies by ammo).
