Avoiding barrel droop — our engineering
Barrel droop is eliminated by precision fit and consistent tenon geometry. We use a resistance fit mortise-and-tenon (tenon slightly larger than receiver mortise) and maintain uniform tenon diameter so the barrel seats solidly. The shoulder between the .920" diameter and the tenon is machined as a clean step — not a ramp — so the barrel sits flush and supported against the receiver.
When the fit is correct, v-block screws only need to be snug (~10 in-lb): enough to prevent forward movement without distorting alignment.
Installation & break-in tips
Keep the chamber clean but avoid excessive bore scrubbing — over-cleaning can reduce accuracy. Typical bore cleaning interval: ~500 rounds, depending on ammo.
