Best 10/22 bolt
Kidd makes the best 10/22 bolt on the market. Makes your 10/22 run like a sewing machine especially when combined with the guide rod and the appropriate tuning spring.

Mr
I put off buying my 1st Kidd bolt for a long time. Instead I was spending my money having stock Ruger bolts reworked. Never understood how such a simple part could solve so many problems from poor extraction and unreliable ignition to big accuracy gains. Since purchasing my 1st Kidd bolt a few years ago this is my 1st and last stop when I'm putting a new 10/22 together.

Great option for a replacement bolt
This bolt dropped right in, and functions perfectly! I had quite a few FTEs prior to this install, and was pleasantly surprised when it not only cured the issue, (it comes with a kidd extractor installed), it looks great and cycles great, even with a binary.

Kidd Bolt/Charging Assembly
I have installed the Kidd bolt/charging assembly on my Bergara BRX and solved the FTF completely. So far, I have only run CCI Mini Mags through it but will continue to try other rounds as well to see which one(s) my particular rifle will shoot accurately.

Measurable accuracy improvement
I replaced my OEM Ruger 10/22 bolt with a KIDD bolt and charging assembly. Shooting a OEM Ruger receiver with this bolt & charging assembly along with a KIDD barrel has brought my 50-yard average group size down to 0.49" using SK High Velocity Match ammo and 0.53" with Lapua Center-X ammo.

MOA fly at 50 yards
After a ton of research I took the plunge to select this bolt and ultralight barrel for my 10/22 build that will be used mostly on my property for target shooting and varmint control. Everything I've seen and read said if you don't want to question whether or not your getting the most accurate 10/22, just buy Kidd. I'm so glad I did. I paired this and the barrel with a few other Kidd accessories, torqued everything to Tony's recommendation (Ruger and others document higher torque settings). Right after assembly, I sighted in at 50 yards and quickly realized it was going to waaaay surpass my expectations. On the bench rest, I was shooting the sample holes out of the targets at 25 yards and at 50 yards I had to put dime size targets at the range to make things more interesting. At 20 yards, a fly landed on the target and kid not, I shot the fly off the target. I even started shooting wire at 50 just to see if I could. And I have to say it's reliably fed almost 400 rounds of everything I've put through it with almost no deviation in accuracy or consistency. Using the medium Kidd spring also shoots subsonic flawlessly with maybe a 8th to 1/4 inch drop at 50 years, but left and right stay dead on. Btw this has all been through a suppressor. I really think the key is using the Kidd bolt and barrel combination and making sure you torque the takedown and v-bolt barrel screws properly. Having a decent scope has definitely helped, but man this thing just shoots and I'm so excited to finally have something that won't be the limiting factor in my shooting capability. 100% worth the investment and I can say this is now my favorite gun and I have a lot.

The man
Bought this bolt to upgrade rifle I had previously put a Kidd barrel on. Rifle cycled Remington subsonic good but an occasional crack of a fast round. CCI subsonic shot great and consistent but the old factory bolt and extractor would not eject the brass. This complete bolt has made this 10/22 work flawlessly.

correct head spacing equals great groups
Have a 10/22 I couldn't get to shoot under 4" at 50 yards so I got an adjustable v block and a Magpul stock. Didn't help much. Got a GM barrel and Brownells receiver. Now we're down to 3". Miked the factory bolt and it had 48 thousands headspace so I ordered your bolt. It arrived very quickly and I've only got to shoot it a few times ( messing with different ammo and some wind) but WOW! SUCCESS! Down to around half an inch at 50! Can't say enough good about it - except why didn't you tell me about it before! Going to put the old rifle back together with your bolt in it just to see how much money I wasted. Couldn't have been happier! Thank you!

Q:
Howdy, I have one of your bolt charging assemblies. With the stock bolt, it is kind of sloppy and the handle rubs on the receiver. If I purchase one of your bolts will it all fit tighter and stop that problem? BTW, I just bought one of your single stage triggers and love it!!!
Asked by:
James Knudson
- 11/3/2017
A:
Thank you for your recent purchase. The KIDD bolt does have tighter tolerances so it will help take some of the slop out. Good Shooting-KIDD
