Thank you Tony Kidd!
My Ruger Charger was jamming about 20% of the time using some fairly old Aguila SV. The empty brass was not thrown clear of the gun, but the gun was picking up a new round from the magazine. I installed a Kidd bolt, guide rod and reduced power spring. Gun is now 100% reliable, I use it for IHMSA smallbore silhouette so reliability is paramount. Gun also has a Kidd barrel. Tackdriver.

Excellent craftsmanship
Perfect fit in a Ruger receiver. Very smooth. Haven't done any real shooting yet, it's nasty outside, but I did go out and run off two 10 round magazines rapid fire with no hiccups. Very happy with KIDD and their products.

Very Happy
I am very impressed on the fit and finish of this bolt, charging handle, guide rod and spring...a little tight then what I am used to with the factory bolt...but I kept a 1-1/2" group at 25 yards offhand with standard ammo. I look forward to seeing what I can do when I get the rest of your parts (receiver, trigger and barrel)

night and day!
I wish I could post a side by side pic of the Ruger bolt next to this. This bolt is perfectly machined in every way. So clean and crisp and SQUARE! It happens to have fixed all of my stovepipe, double feed, and dud round problems which is a nice extra. Best money you can spend on any 10/22.

Great Bolt
Got the bolt for my Ruger 10/22 Tactical Takedown because I was experiencing failures with the factory parts, so started with replacing the bolt. When I got Kidd bolt, I initially was having problems with alignment with my takedown 10/22, so I called Kidd's customer service and they ask me to send the bolt in with the rifle (free shipping). When I got my Ruger back it was shooting smooth and have not experienced anymore failures. Thanks!

Still the best
This is my 2nd Full Kidd build and once again the fit and finish of everything is astounding. This bolt, paired with the single stage trigger and Kidd's receiver makes for THE best shooting 10/22 you can build. Keep up the great work guys.

Great!!!
I bought a brand new Roger target tactical VLEH, and right off the bat I had problems with ftf,and fte's. I ordered the new kid bolt (scalloped). Installed it and headed back to the range. After firing around 700 rounds I did not experience a single problem of any kind. Even during extreme rapid fire the bolt cycled flawlessly (with cheap bulk ammo) and was smooth as butter. It also looked great while doing it! Can't say enough about Kidd and all the products they offer. Everything is top of the line. Also I received this 2 days after placing my order. Highly recommended to anyone considering this bolt. Also get the guide rod and handle too to complete the package. Kidd now has a new lifetime customer

TRULY a work of art. After getting a std 10/22, I had many FTF, and FTE's. The Kidd bolt solved all my problems. The positive ejection is awesome. Now it's a joy to shoot. I've got a Kidd trigger group on order too!

Got my bolt and spring kit W/handle today. Installation was very easy. I watched the KIDD video and followed along. The bolt is so much smother moving. Can't wait to get to range and try out w/subsonic ammo. This was my first time at doing this kind of work, it went very well.

Questions and Answers
Q:
Will your Kidd 22LR Bolt drop into a standard Ruger 10/22? What improvements would I expect to see? Thanks
Asked by:
Abel
- 4/7/2017
A:
This bolt should drop into a factory receiver. It has proper head spacing and firing pin protrusion to improve reliability. The "pinned" firing pin gives you consistent ignition . We radiused and polished the rear of the bolt for improved cycling and it comes with our upgraded firing pin and extractor. Good Shooting-Shalee

Q:
I m building a .22LR using all KIDD parts except for the barrel which will be a green mountain 20" bull barrel which I already have. When mating the barrel to the KIDD receiver do I need to check the headspace with a go - no go gauge? Or will the headspace be correct because of the bolt tolerance? Thank you
Asked by:
Wes
- 2/15/2016
A:
There is no need to "set" headspace as it is already build into our bolt. Regarding the mating of the barrel and receiver, use the shoulder of the barrel as your stopping point indicator. When the barrel shoulder is up against the receiver you should be good. Good shooting! KIDD

Asked by:

Thank you for your interest. We have our bolts covered in a finish that was developed initially to coat racing engines. So it doesn't ware off after cycling in an action. Good shooting! KIDD

Q:
Howdy, I have one of your bolt charging assemblies. With the stock bolt, it is kind of sloppy and the handle rubs on the receiver. If I purchase one of your bolts will it all fit tighter and stop that problem? BTW, I just bought one of your single stage triggers and love it!!!
Asked by:
James Knudson
- 11/3/2017
A:
Thank you for your recent purchase. The KIDD bolt does have tighter tolerances so it will help take some of the slop out. Good Shooting-KIDD
