Upgrade your Ruger® 10/22® with a spiral-fluted, blued chromoly bull barrel that pairs show-quality styling with match-grade performance. What makes it special Distinctive spiral fluting: Spiral flutes add upscale, showroom-ready styling while preserving the mass and rigidity of a .920" bull contour for stable harmonics and repeatable aim. Match-grade manufacturing: Bored & rifled by Lothar Walther (Germany), finished and hand-machined by Tony Kidd, and chambered with a proprietary reamer for smooth, reliable feeding. Extraction reliability: Precision convex extractor slot keeps the extractor perfectly aligned with the case rim — a tight-tolerance feature that eliminates common extraction problems. Durable finish & fit: Black bead-blasted chromoly with a durable blued finish and a slip-fit design for easy installation in factory and most aftermarket 10/22® receivers. Guaranteed accuracy: ½" at 50 yards (5-shot group) — proven performance you can depend on. Key specs • Fit: Slip-fit for factory Ruger® 10/22® and most aftermarket 10/22® receivers • Length: 18" • External diameter: .920" bull contour (spiral fluted) • Material: Chromoly steel, black bead-blasted, blued finish • Twist: 1:16 (optimized for .22 LR) • Crown: 11° crown + double ring at muzzle; KIDD marked • Extractor slot: Convex design for consistent extraction • Performance guarantee: ½" at 50 yards (5-shot group) Barrel weight • 18" spiral-fluted chromoly — 3.0 lb Avoiding barrel droop — our engineering Barrel droop is prevented by precision geometry and a resistance-fit mortise-and-tenon. We hold the tenon diameter uniform along its length and make the tenon slightly larger than the receiver mortise so the barrel seats tightly and consistently. The shoulder between the .920" contour and the tenon is machined as a clean step (not a ramp) so the barrel sits flush against the receiver and is fully supported. When the fit is correct, v-block screws only need to be snug (~10 in-lb) — enough to stop forward movement without distorting alignment. Installation & break-in tips • Prep: Remove paint/debris from the receiver mortise before install. • Lubricate: Apply a light anti-seize compound to the tenon to ease installation. • Seat: Start the tenon into the mortise, then turn the rifle over and gently tap the rear of the receiver with a rubber mallet while aligning the extractor slot. • Break-in: Run two magazines through the barrel before evaluating groups; repeat when switching ammunition brands. • Cleaning: Keep the chamber clean but avoid excessive bore scrubbing — over-cleaning can reduce accuracy. Typical bore-cleaning interval: ~500 rounds (varies by ammo).
