Aftermarket fluted lightweight pistol barrel for the Ruger® 10/22® Charger™
— lightweight, rigid, and ready for
accessories.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL
·
Featherweight
performance: At 1.0 lb (10")
this fluted pistol barrel trims carry weight while keeping the stiffness of a
bull profile where it matters.
·
Smart
stepped profile: Starts .920"
for the first 2", then steps
to .870" to the muzzle — bull-barrel rigidity up front with
reduced mass toward the muzzle for quicker handling.
·
Stainless-core
construction: A stainless steel
core provides strength and repeatable alignment; a fluted black or silver sleeve gives the classic
bull look and added torsional stiffness.
·
Match-grade
origins: Bored & rifled by Lothar
Walther (Germany), finished and final-machined by Tony Kidd, with a proprietary chamber reamer for smooth feeding and
repeatable groups.
·
Extractor
& crown: Precision convex
extractor slot for consistent extraction and an 11° crown + double ring at the muzzle —
KIDD marked.
·
Accessory-ready:
Optional 1/2"-28 muzzle threading
(protective cap available) for muzzle devices or suppressors.

AVOIDING BARREL DROOP — OUR ENGINEERING
Barrel droop is prevented through precision geometry and a resistance-fit mortise-and-tenon. The
barrel tenon is held uniform in diameter
and slightly oversized for a tight, repeatable seat in the receiver. The
shoulder between the stepped .920" ?
.870" profile and the tenon is machined as a clean step (not a ramp) so the barrel sits flush and fully supported. With correct
fitment, v-block
screws only need to be snug (~10
in-lb) — enough to prevent forward movement without distorting
alignment.
INSTALLATION & BREAK-IN TIPS
• Prep: Scrape paint/debris from
the receiver mortise before install.
• Lubricate: Light anti-seize on the tenon eases
installation.
• Seat: Start the tenon into the
mortise, align the extractor slot,
then turn the pistol over and gently tap
the rear of the receiver with a rubber mallet until seated.
• Torque: Tighten v-block screws
snug (~10 in-lb) — firm, not
crushing.
• Break-in: Run two magazines through the barrel before
evaluating groups; repeat after switching ammo brands.
• Cleaning: Keep the chamber
clean; avoid excessive bore scrubbing — typical bore-clean interval ~500 rounds (varies by ammo).
