extends over the barrel just over 1" for increased eye relief

The silver scope base for the Ruger® 10/22® receiver is almost 1/4" tall by 5 7/8" long and incorporates the picatinny spacing system similar to the military spec. We chose the picatinny spacing so if customers have more rifles than scopes they can use the same scope ring spacing on more than one rifle since the picatinny spacing provides uniformity for scope rings. Our low scope base extend over the front of the receiver for both function and aesthetic purposes. Function: the extension allows for greater eye relief. Aesthetics: the extended mount elongates the lines of the receiver. The draw back is that our base doesn't work with rear sights or if you need the receiver to fit into an outer shell such as the SR-22®.

Scope Ring & Scope Size information:

Rings made for NATO, Weaver and Picatinny will work well with our scope base. For nearly, all 22 rifles, the low scope base and low rings work best. As a general rule; we recommend our low scope base with low rings for 40mm objective and smaller or low mount with medium height rings for a 50mm objective.
