Upon receiving a Kidd Supergrade 22 there were misfire issues. After contacting Kidd they made several suggestions by email on possible issues to look for causing ,the misfires. One thing was to number the magazines and try to isolate any particular magazines causing the problem. At the time I had 6 magazines. After much trial and error testing using standard plus, center X , Midas, tenex , and federal gold match ammo there was one magazine which functioned almost perfect. After closely looking at this magazine and comparing it to the others it appeared that the metal near the top back of this good magazine was slightly lower than the others. I carefully filed a small amount of this metal off the other 5 magazines using a small triangle shaped file. Testing Tenex, center X and Midas in all the magazines produced only 1 misfire out of 48 shots. This one misfire did fire after a second try. While doing this testing Kidd traded many emails with me and offered for me to return the new 22 if I wanted to return it. They sent me several magazines FREE to hopefully help with this FTF issue. The CUSTOMER SERVICE at KIDD is superior. I have shot 8 shot groups of 3/8” at 50 yards using Center X and Midas ammo. KIDD is a GOOD company. Thanks, Dean
