CNC .22 bolt

Just received my new bolt in the mail and upon opening the package my firt response, out loud even, was WOW. Exceptional feel, fit, and looks. I purchased the silver scallop scalloped version and it fits and looks beautiful. A great fit/look to my custom 10/22. Great job guys!!!!!

I purchased the silver bolt and after pairing it up with the Kidd single stage trigger, Kidd bolt buffer, and the Kidd cocking assembly. After completing my project, I was completely satisfied with the finished product. Evidently the ancient Roman god of blacksmithing and craftsmanship took up CNC machining and moved his forge from Mount Etna to McQueeny Texas! Seriously though, when I laid my standard Ruger bolt next to my new Kidd (scalloped-it's beautiful, btw) black bolt, I had to chuckle at the difference. The Kidd bolt looks and feels smooth all over (except for the scalloping, obviously). The back bottom end is nicely curved where would contact the hammer, the firing pin slides smoothly in its track; in short it is a work of art. The Ruger bolt by comparison looks like it was cast in a green sand mold. The firing pin is actually peened in place at the upper middle of the bolt. The extractor's claw looks rounded where it should be sharp. The contrast between the two is startling. Tony Kidd has a perfect right to be proud of his product. I would give it six stars if I could. I am going to order a two stage trigger next week!

One immediately sees the extremely high quality of this bolt. Popped it into my Magnum Research receiver and it performs flawlessly. Makes the bolt that comes with the MR look amateurish. No problems with ignition or extraction after several hundred rounds. I got the "scalloped" bolt for a few dollars more and that super custom look. With the Kidd cocking handle assembly and Kidd red 2-stage trigger, my Magnum Research 10/22 (which now has only the original lightweight barrel and receiver and Hogue stock) performs awesomely and looks ultra custom and cool. Why buy any other manufacturer 's bolt for more than twice the money when you can get this one with the new firing pin and extractor? VERY nice people to deal with.

I bought this bolt because I couldn't get my Sniper Subsonic ammo to cycle with my stock bolt on my custom 10/22. I purchased the scalloped slick coated black version and it cycles my subsonic ammo beautifully when matched with the Kidd spring set. Well worth the price!

I was never impressed with the factory firing pin and extractor on the 10/22. Instead of replacing these two items on my current build, I decided to try this Kidd bolt assembly and I am very impressed with the quality of this bolt. Very high quality and function!!

I ordered this at 11am est time it was shipped by 1pm and at my house in P.a. in 3 days what more can i say about that! Fit and finish was great cycled smooth as glass.I was looking at my factory bolt and noticed the bolt face was cracked so if anything get this to replace a cheap made factory part.

Very satisfied. Was wary about the price. Dropping a Ben is a hard thing to do these days!! Product reviews posted on a companies own sight are taken with a grain of salt by me. I feel the company can pick and choose what reviews get posted, but KIDD is very well reviewed on Rimfirecentral.com, so I decided to take a chance. The reason was due to after 3 years and 5000 rds I was starting to get misfires as well as feeding and ejecting issues. I was going to do just the pin and extractor but seeing the atention to detail here made me look deaper. Tight tolerance, firing pin pinning, even adding a bevel to help get the charging handle to cradle. When I received the unit in the mail, it was very well packaged. I took the unit out for inspection and found one thing, I didn't want to install it!! It looks that nice!! But I did, it just dropped right in. Smooth as silk action, no interferance with the BX-25 lips, complete cycling. Took it to the range, put 1000 rds through it. CCI Mini-Mags, American Eagle CPHP, Blazer and Remington HP bulk. Not one issue with the bolt at all. Every round chambered ignited and ejected. I am a very satisfied customer! Thanks KIDD!!

I received my bolt today and I'm very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. The finish is amazing and extremely well cut. I checked every cornet for any flaws with a 30x's magnifier and it's perfect, yes I'm that picky. Hat's off to Kidd for a very well made product!

Greetings Everyone, After dropping this in with Kidd's charging handle and bolt buffer my action is as smooth as silk. These upgrades make your Ruger feel like it should. I haven't shot mine yet, but I can expect that they will make a measurable difference in accuracy. I got their stainless CNC bolt with the Scalloped Finish.
